Wahlensee [Lake Walen] stage, Switzerland

The Walensee stage (CH) amazed the public with a new production of “TITANIC – THE MUSICAL” at its ten-year anniversary. A moving and romantic stage experience is guaranteed for the nearly 2,000 spectators.
Together with the customer, Bender Tribünen develops new concepts to structure extraordinary event locations. The challenges in the Walenstadt theatre were:
-    Protect from rain
-    Free view of the Walensee and the mountains behind it
-    Transparent structure

Thus we developed, in close coordination, an alternative solution to our usual grandstand roof.  We installed a free-supported tent roof over the grandstands which met the requirements. The entire Bender team was able to create a structure which both protected from rain and provided a breath-taking open air ambience. This specially adjusted roof solution provided an open view of the lake and mountains.
