Willingen Ski Jumping

Every year in January, over 35,000 spectators come to the small community of Willingen in Sauerland on only one weekend. They come for the annual Ski World Cup. In addition, nearly four million viewers watch the event on their TV’s at home. In order to give as many spectators as possible an open view to the tournament, Bender stages equipped the finish line with nearly 3,000 additional arena seats. Thus the space available was used to best advantage. In addition, over 30 flagpoles were implemented in the design.
